Our Waffle line-up was inspired by the European cycling obsession with the delicious Dutch stroopwafel otherwise known as the “syrup waffle.” The stroopwafel proved to be a hit for professional endurance athletes who relied on tasty carbs that were as digestible as they were portable.
So, in 2011, Honey Stinger introduced our Organic Honey Waffle. And its sweet and salty, crispy and gooey deliciousness quickly made it a top seller. In 2016, we created gluten free options and in 2020, we went small with Mini Waffles.
Carbs & Honey
Our Waffles deliver immediate energy, or carbohydrates. For athletes of all kinds, carbs are the primary fuel source during exercise. Our waffles contain carbs from many sources, but our favorite ingredient is honey. So, when should you consume our Waffles? When you Prepare and Perform. For best results, eat one 15-30 minutes before your activity. If you’re Performing for longer than an hour, you can refuel as needed.
